Hi guys,

I am back again. Now the frustration at work has been building up again and I have decided to start doing something else. My games site free game downloads has been going down the drain lately, with hits from search engines going down tremendously. It needs to be fixed by doing link trades etc for boosting SEO.

I have also established a new site called Game Crib however it is not working yet fully. It has been made with Django for people to submit their games on their own, and I would just be the moderator.

Blogidy site has been down for ages now, but I have decided to lift it also up from the ditches. I have decided to make it into a gaming blog, where I review and do what I want around gaming. Hope it starts building up nicely.

Lately most of my time has gone to the wrong things. I have been working with Twitter a lot, but that work should be minimized and my time should be spent on the following things

1. Putting blogidy back in to speed
2. Getting game-crib up and running
3. Doing link trades for both these sites.

My task for today and tomorrow is to rearrange blogidy and write a couple of posts. When that is done I'll start focusing on game-crib and getting it up.

Guess what? A new site again :)

I have also opened up a site about purely making money online. The sites content will mostly be about money making opportunities, like online surveys and completing offers.

I am also thinking about including some data about making money with blogs, but I have not yet 100% decided on it.

A new site launched
I have not posted in a while because I have been busy in setting up my new blog site. It is called Blogidy - The Blogging Handbook. Site has info about getting started with blogging, writing in blogs, blog promotion and link building. There is also a forum where users can post bloggin related issues.

Why I Started the New Site?
I understood that this site has about zero earning potential if I do not have something interesting to follow here. Now that I have set up the new blog I am going to follow carefully how my traffic develops there and post my advancements over here. Stay tuned.

Why Content is King - Importance of Content

Introduction
In an article before i talked a bit about content and having good content. This article reveals more about the subject and talks more about quantity and quality of content. It is important to know this in order to get hits to your site and know how content affects the amount of traffic you get.

Quantity of content
Basically the more content you have the better it is. Namely this affects the amount of hits from search engines that you will get. Here is the base idea: When one of your articles gets 5 hits a day. That means that with 10 articles you will get around 50 hits per day.

Search engines spider the content of your site and stores it. When someone uses a search engine, he writes the search criteria and then the search engine starts to mach the criteria to the content of web sites it has stored. The more content you have the more probable it is for the search engine to find the data.

To get a lot of hits you must have a lot of content. There is no other way, because most of the traffic today comes from search engines and namely google.

Quality of content
Quality of your content will reflect the amount of hits you will probably get to your site. This means that when you have quality content more people will be interested in the data you offer. When you have good quality content people will tend to link more to your site and this will mean more traffic from the people who just follow links.

Amount of inbound links also affects the rank of your articles in search engines. The more inbound links your article has the higher the page ranks in searches. This means that quality is key to getting a lot of hits from search engines.

Maximising hits and minimizing effort
In order to maximise the hits you get you must find the actual potential of your articles. If you are writing about a totally new subject you must first get to know the subject and only after that you may have the idea of potential hits you may get with the article. If you find that your article has only a small amount of potential, then you should realise that putting a lot of effort to the article is not a good idea.

In the other hand if you know that the article has a lot potential, for example it may get a thousand hits per day, then you should maximise the quality and put great effort in the article. The reason for this is that area of the article is more heavily competed and to keep your article high in search engine ranks requires to have a great article.

Summary
To get hits you must have a lot of content. The more content you have the better. Remember that quality also matters and it mostly affects the amount of hits that an article will get. Better the quality, means more back links and by that more hits from search engines. Always maximise quality, but do not become overly obsessed by it.

Professional Content Writing

Overview
When you blog you must provide quality content that should be in some way unique. The uniqueness can mean 100% original content from your own thoughts or providing content from other sites in a more meaningful way. This may be better insight to some matters or it may just some information with a twist of comedy. Beign professional means that you must write text that is easy to read and to follow. Information must also be in some way usefull

What should you write about
The thing you write about must be in a way close to your heart. You must know what you are writing about and you must have the need to tell it to people. Do not write just because of creating content because when you do that your text will most likekely be filled with BS. I myself write only with two motives. Firstly I write to give away information that I believe people may need. Secondly to remind myself of past events and to record learning experiences.

Structuring the text
Structure depends on the text. If you are writing a post a funny event then there is no structure needed. On the other hand if you write an actual article you need structure. In my opinion for a short text this is a good suggestion: 1. Introduction 2. Going through the subject 3.Summary.

Introduction contains a short description of the subject and some motivation why the text should be read. Keep it reasonably short. Usually I write a short introduction at the start and then when the rest of text is finished i rewrite the introduction. Remember motivational part is golden, beacuse it makes it more likely that people will reed the whole article.

Summary contains a short text that has all the main points listed. Usually it should not contain anymore information that has not been in the actual text. A word of motivation should also be placed in the summary if you can in someway fit it in.

When writing, write with a positive attitude. It will bring the best out of you
Think what is your focus group for the article and adjust accordingly
Structure the text

Summary
Professional content writing is not easy and quick. It takes time. You must be willing to write and rewrite your all over again and restructure your text. Even though the content is the most biggest essence of the text you must remember that text must be readable and nearly without any misspellings. Only that way your content will be belieavble

Posting the site to directories and search engines

Why should you post your blogs RSS feed to different places? -To get traffic of course. The fact is that in more places you have your blog the more you will get readers. Site must also have content. If your blog does not have any type of content it will not attract any readers even though it is listed in many different sites. The old saying is that: "Content is King", it means that when you have content then you will get visitors. Visitors do come from different sources such as search engines web links. Search engines find your site better the more content your site has. People link to your site when your site has actual value.

I decided to add this blog and its feeds to some free RSS listings and search engines. I found this great list of different places where to post a blog and its RSS feed. Use it if you need more users to your blog. Here are the places where i submitted the blog:

Adding blog to technorati

What is technorati and how it works
I have just added this blog to technorati. Technorati is a sort of a search engine for blogs, but it is much more. Technorati can be used to generate more hits to your blog, by allowing people to find your blog. Technorati even rates the blogs by authority of the blog. The authority is calculated by the amount of blogs that link to the blog in question. Better the authority the higher the blog is listed in technorati. This means that my blog has now the authority of exactly zero :)

Technorati still provides links back to this blog and that in turn will create hits to this blog. I am going to report later how well it is working.

Steps to get a blog listed

Create an account at technorati. You need a valid email address etc
Go to your account
Select the claimed blogs tab
Click claim a new blog-link
Write the URL of the blog and follow the steps shown

Congratulations! Now you have your blog listed on technorati

Getting started

Foreword
This blog is about making money by blogging and by using websites. By blogging I am going to describe all the things that I have done to generate income and get more hits.

Aim
The aim is two sided. Firstly the aim is to get this site to earn cash more than 100 dollars a day. Secondly I want to prove that this can be done. It is not a pipe dream to start earning serious cash on the web. It is a reality and anyone can do it just as long as you believe it can be done. Just an aim would not mean a thing. I have set a specific deadline for this. My deadline is 12th of October 2010.

Monitoring my goal
I am not going to report to you the actual earning amounts, but I am going to report my visitor amount in a weekly basis so you can check on how I am doing. I predict that I may earn about 2-5$ per CPM, and that means that for 100$ per day, I need to get around 20k-50k visitors a day. Peace of cake :)

The start up
I have bought a domain name for this site and I am using it to make my site more accessible from the web. Next I am starting to write some content to get this blog up and running like it should.
