I have just added this blog to technorati. Technorati is a sort of a search engine for blogs, but it is much more. Technorati can be used to generate more hits to your blog, by allowing people to find your blog. Technorati even rates the blogs by authority of the blog. The authority is calculated by the amount of blogs that link to the blog in question. Better the authority the higher the blog is listed in technorati. This means that my blog has now the authority of exactly zero :)
Technorati still provides links back to this blog and that in turn will create hits to this blog. I am going to report later how well it is working.
Steps to get a blog listed
- Create an account at technorati. You need a valid email address etc
- Go to your account
- Select the claimed blogs tab
- Click claim a new blog-link
- Write the URL of the blog and follow the steps shown
